My name is Shara. I'm 22, an Aquarius, and a writer. I've got a B.A. in English Literature from the University of North Texas. Someday I hope I can pursue Medieval Studies either as a graduate study or a hobby, whichever won't give me head explodey.
I grew up in a fair-sized city in the Texas panhandle, but I live near Dallas now and am the happier for it. I'm an only child, and I like to call myself a Western European mutt (English, Irish, and German) with a hint of Cherokee. I live with my best friend and our pets, a PomChi named Bosley, a hamster named Brownbear and a betta named Leopold.
I like makeup and boots and T-shirts. My fiction loves are Kushiel's Dart by Jacqueline Carey, the first four books of The Dark Tower by Stephen King, American Gods by Neil Gaiman, Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card, and The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. My tastes are wide-ranging, but I am by no means well-read. I watch a lot of movies and a lot of TV, falling into the trap of Law & Order like many, many artists before me. I'm something of a logical romantic, an optimist, and a hedonist. My faith is something like Christianity practiced by a Zen Buddhist, but I've got some work to do before I'm back in a place where I'm happiest. I love food, family, warm nights, and sunshine, and I strive to find happiness where I am.
