For seven years, I've kept domains. FatedAngel.com, Fierce-Girl.net, BurntheSea.net, and now So-Fierce.net. I've had a lot of experience with the personal site dynamic, and a lot of trouble with the serious, project-centric, body-of-work domain. I've come to a place in my life where I need something that inspires me and reminds me of how much I've got to work for.

I'm partial to dot-net names, if you can't tell, but there's more than just preference behind the new domain name. I didn't give up Fierce-Girl because the name didn't suit me, or it wasn't my home anymore. I gave it up because of depression and indecision and life changes. I had too much going on and wasn't able to focus on what wasn't that important. Since then I've regrouped and chilled out and decided to come back to the online fold. But BurntheSea wasn't working for me. It wasn't right. It wasn't me.

Fierce-Girl was the best name I could've picked when I was 17, and for the years of its existence it was a place of strength and comfort. And while I'm not a little girl anymore, I'm still fierce. So I'm making a new place to call home, and it's working out very well so far.

So-Fierce.net is registered and hosted by E-Starr, a lovely company who's taken care of my other domains, much to their chagrin I'm sure. If you need to get my attention, you can email me: shara at so-fierce.net. You can IM me (heytinyninja) or find me on MySpace, Livejournal, or the the weblog.
